FC Barcelona Ready for First Game at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in La Liga over two years following their departure for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted an open training session inside the stadium on 7 November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
